Here are 4 quick skincare hacks!
Exfoliation is an important part of any skincare regime, why? Because when you exfoliate you are sloughing off the top layer of dead skin cells which can block your pores and cause spots. It also leaves your skin looking brighter, clearer and more radiant.
I would recommend exfoliating no more than 2/3 times a week, but if you are prone to dry skin then maybe once a week.
- Tone & Moisturize
It is important to close your pores after using exfoliates. There are two main types of toner: the ones you spray on and those that you apply with a cotton pad. There are lots of moisturizers out there to choose from just find the most effective for your skin.
- Acne Treatments
If like me, you get the occasional spot then this is crucial for your skincare routine. Blemishes are caused by bacteria that gets stuck in the hair follicles causing a red, swollen spot to develop. When you apply an acne treatment onto it you can help stop the spreading of bacteria whilst also drying out the spot.
- Eye Creams/Eye Treatments
You might think that this is unnecessary as you don’t notice anything wrong with your eyes. However, when you’re older you will start noticing fine lines around the eye area, especially creases on the side of your eyes! This is where an eye cream comes into play by moisturizing under the eye so they feel more refreshed and less wrinkly.
Finding a skincare routine is hard because everyone’s skin is different and reacts differently to products. It took me months to find the right one for my skin type. So, if you are having trouble finding something then try different brands. Maybe speak to someone in store or even get some advice from your doctor.
